GAZE International Film Festival 2015

By July 27, 2015 No Comments

2015 is one for the gay history books of Ireland. With the marriage referendum passing by a wide margin. Illustrating a change that has been happening for a long time of acceptance towards Irish LGBT people. The Gender Recognition Bill is huge victory for transgender rights in Ireland. Making Ireland the 4th country in the world allowing transgender people to have their true gender respected in official state documents without a doctors note. Ireland has brazed though to being at the forefront of LGBT rights.

The GAZE film festival, which started in 1993, is going to have to have its biggest year since it started. One strand of GAZE is the web series screening and panel discussion. In with the Out is a sampling of the best LGBT web series available anywhere. After the screening, there will be a panel discussion with the makers of each web series to reveal the great stories behind the great story.

The web series featured are Wallflowers; a web series about 4 friends in a support groups for people who can’t get dates

Where the Bears Are: a comedy series with three guys trying to solve the murders of young male model in the porn industry

Discrepance: a four way love triangle(square?) involving an abortion

Finally Kelsey: a girl who has been dumped and it is getting back into the dating scene.
